CALCULATIONS
It is ALSO compulsory for all intern pharmacists to demonstrate competence in pharmaceutical calculations prior to attending the Assessment Centre.
All interns will have the opportunity to achieve the required level of accuracy in calculations.
The tests will vary so that all candidates have an equal chance and that there is no opportunity for cheating.
Overseas pharmacist interns will be notified that they will be required to sit a practice calculations test in their workplace, under the supervision of their preceptor or another pharmacist.
Everyone will sit the tests at the same time to maintain the integrity of the assessment.
The actual Calculations test will be sat at Training Days in March or August.
ASSESSMENT CENTRE
Two Assessment Centre's will be held annually in May and November.
Those interns required to re-attend the Assessment Centre will have to pay the full cost of attendance.
An example of the scenarios used at the Assessment Centre can be found here
